N.J. up and coming WR Taj Jones earns 1st offer from hometown Scarlet Knights

The search for play-makers at the FBS level of play never stops. The Rutgers staff being aware of that fact landed at Pope John (Sparta, N.J.) high school recently, and followed it up with an offer to Taj Jones.

A 6-3, 208-pound junior, Jones has the physical make-up of a big-time coup. Oh, and he can play, too, causing the hometown team to take notice.

"I've been talking to Rutgers since last year," Jones told NJ.com. "Me and coach (Matt) Hewitt, we always kept in touch. A few times I went to go visit and me and him always talk for a little while.
