PISCATAWAY – It stands to reason that most college football players are not receiving advice and encouragement from NFL stars, but Rutgers sophomore running back Robert Martin has now received that from not just one, but two players with pro experience.
Martin starred at Harrisburg (Pa.) High School, the hometown public high school of former Philadelphia Eagles and new Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy, who attended Harrisburg’s Bishop McDevitt. Martin remembers getting a pep talk from the 2013 NFL rushing champion at the school during a workout as he was rehabbing a torn ACL as a senior in 2013.
