The Eagles have a history of drafting players with ties to local colleges, though it hasn't happened as much recently. The most recent local college draftee was Jaiquawn Jarrett, a second-round pick from Temple in 2011.
In the coming weeks, the Eagles will host a local Pro Day for the area's best prospects, though that is a somewhat loose definition. Each NFL team is permitted to bring up to 30 non-local prospects in for pre-draft visits. Teams can host pro days locally, though, that don't count against that 30-person allotment. Prospects who grew up in the area and/or attended a local college are allowed to attend.
