Kemoko Turay's hamstring is improving, but the turnaround between the NFL Scouting Combine and Rutgers' pro day was too short for the former Scarlet Knights star and intriguing draft prospect to push it.
Turay only participated in one drill - 18 reps in the 225-pound bench press - in front of NFL scouts Friday, sitting out for the remainder of the day as he continues to work his way back from the hamstring injury he suffered running the 40-yard dash at the combine last week.
"The timing was tough for me, not being able to participate and finish out the combine and then not being able to really prepare to participate in pro day as well," Turay said at the end of the pro day, which was held at the Jets' indoor facility in Florham Park after Rutgers' practice bubble was closed due to aftereffects of the winter storm earlier this week.
