Rutgers will be sending three competitors to the NCAA Championships next week. Sophomore Jermaine Griffith qualified in the 400m following his eighth place performance at the East Regional on Friday evening. Resetting his PR for the second straight day, Griffith clocked in with a time of 45.82. His finish time was not only .32 seconds faster than his preliminary performance (46.14), but also only .12 seconds off the school record and the second fastest time in the RU record books. Griffith's time is the fastest time at Rutgers since the use of automatic timing. He was one of 12 from the East Region to advance to national championship racing in the 400m.
