PISCATAWAY — In his collegiate debut, Adam Charalambides became the first Rutgers men's lacrosse freshman to score six goals in a game since 1984. He has hardly slowed down since that breakout performance, leading the Big Ten in goals (29) through the Scarlet Knights' 8-2 start.
"I try not to set expectations on myself,'' Charalambides said. "Our team goal is to get better every day and I take that personally. I just want to focus on that, and it's paying off on the field, which is nice to see.''
A native of Georgetown, Ontario, Charalambides played soccer until he was 10 and has been playing lacrosse, he says, for the last eight years.
