PHILADELPHIA — When Matt Rhule was hired as an assistant defensive line coach at UCLA in 2001, Phil Snow, the team's defensive coordinator at the time, said Rhule "got to know me better than I know myself."
When Snow had the urge for a caffeine kick, coffee would already be brewing. Just as Snow would think about getting his defensive scripts ready for practice, the sheets would be on his desk. Rhule always seemed to be a step ahead of every task.
"He's just so detailed," Snow said. "When I think of Matt, it's how passionate he is about what he does.
