Meet 2017 Rutgers women's basketball recruits, transfers as C. Vivian Stringer looks for quick fix

Related Topics: C. Vivian Stringer

It makes sense that Stringer, 69, is looking for a quick fix coming off a 6-24 season and with Rutgers having missed the NCAA Tournament in three of the last four seasons. Stringer is 23 wins shy of 1,000 in her career at Cheyney State, Iowa and Rutgers.

Here is a closer look at the new additions:

Nigia Greene

Greene is an immediately eligible graduate transfer with one year of eligibility remaining after making 22 starts in 26 games for nationally ranked Miami last season. Though she averaged just four points per game, she fills a need at Rutgers because she shot the 3-pointer at a 37.
