NFL free agency signings can't officially begin until 4 p.m. Wednesday, but the Jets have already landed their first outside free agent -- ex-Browns running back Isaiah Crowell, on a three-year contract, according to ESPN.
The NFL's negotiating window began at noon Monday, and the Jets acquired a commitment from Crowell, who could provide a boost for new offensive coordinator Jeremy Bates.
The Jets' backfield now looks like this: Crowell, Bilal Powell (entering the final year of his contract and about to turn 30), and Eli McGuire, who was a rookie last season.
