Rutgers cornerback Darian Dailey was arrested early Sunday morning and charged with robbery with a firearm in his home state of Florida, according to the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office.
Dailey, 19, and another 19-year-old man are accused of using a handgun to rob a bicyclist at around 2 a.m., police said. The alleged victim handed over his money and was not injured.
After fleeing the scene in a vehicle, Dailey and the other man, Trazelle Johnson, were apprehended by area law enforcement and booked in Manatee County jail, police said. He remained there as of Sunday afternoon on bond of $150,000, according to Bradenton.
