Rutgers Football adds a boost to its kicking game in the class of 2018, as specialist Zach Sterr committed to the program on Tuesday night. Both a kicker and punter, Sterr had a four year varsity career at Absegami high school in Galloway, New Jersey. He is joining Rutgers as a preferred walk-on after being offered in November.
The south Jersey native also has a preferred walk-on offer from Maryland, but chose to play for his home state. The 6'1", 220 point Sterr is given a 4.5 star rating and ranked 77th in the 2018 class per ChrisSailerKicking.
