Julie Hermann, Kyle Flood weigh in on Rutgers facilities upgrades need and timeline

EAST HANOVER – Regardless of the scope of the Rutgers basketball facilities upgrade plan expected to be announced in June, the most difficult part of the road ahead will come in the months that follow.

With increasing athletic fundraising and decreasing a subsidy that was $36 million in 2014 still at the top of the priorities list for the athletic department, any construction is going to require careful use of resources, Rutgers athletics director Julie Hermann said.

“I think everybody is excited about what’s the plan, what’s the vision – and even more important than that is how are you going to accomplish that,” Hermann told reporters Thursday night.
