Johnathan Lewis' record-setting performance didn't win him the job as Rutgers starting quarterback, but it did win over Jerry Kill enough for the play-caller to reconsider his thinking.
Kill told NJ Advance Media in May that he would not use a two-quarterback system at Rutgers after his experience doing so at Minnesota with Philip Nelson and Mitch Leidner in 2013.
After Lewis accounted for five touchdowns (four rushing, one passing) in a 65-0 victory against Morgan State, coach Chris Ash laughed off a question about a quarterback controversy.
