Seventeen years after one of the biggest what-ifs in Rutgers men’s basketball history, Jay Williams is said to want to come to the Scarlet Knights again.
The 34-year-old Plainfield native is interested in becoming the next Rutgers men’s basketball coach, according a report from SlamOnline.com citing an anonymous source.
Rutgers fired Eddie Jordan on Thursday, one day after completing the season with a 7-25 record that was the team’s worst since 1956.
He's never coached, but one report says @RealJayWilliams is interested in coming home to coach #Rutgers. https://t.co/3UW6kxKtKc #njhoops
