It was nearly three years ago that Eddie Jordan was introduced with great fanfare in the Barn, the Scarlet Knights’ favorite son returning to The Banks to restore the men’s basketball program’s battered reputation in the wake of the Mike Rice scandal.
And now with a second player suspension in a week announced Monday — along with 27 straight Big Ten losses — it’s time for new athletic director Pat Hobbs to start lining up the candidates to replace Jordan.
No, there aren’t any disturbing video montages being played repeatedly on television, like in Rice’s final days.
