While forecasters are offering less ominous projections for how Hurricane Matthew could impact New Jersey, Rutgers officials say they will continue to monitor the forecast leading up to Saturday's 7 p.m. kickoff against Michigan at High Point Solutions Stadium in Piscataway.
The forecast for Hurricane Matthew changed overnight as forecasters project the Category 3 storm to take a sharp turn out to sea on Saturday as it moves up the Northeast coast.
According to the latest Weather.com forecast Wednesday at 11 a.m., the storm was strengthening north of Cuba and the Bahamas, Florida's Atlantic coast, the Georgia coast, and the coastal Carolina are possibly in line for a hurricane strike.
