PISCATAWAY – In 2013, with two regular-season games remaining to save the Rutgers football season — and possibly his job — Kyle Flood made a quarterback change.
Two years later, in an almost identical position, Flood is sticking with Chris Laviano when on-field results and one school of thought suggest it is time to test out Hayden Rettig.
“I’m not going to get into the specifics of one player over another,” Flood said Sunday. “I’m not going to do that in public. That’s not in the best interest of the program. I understand why there is interest in it.
