NEW YORK -- Two days after graduating from Montclair High School in 1975, Dale Berra was greeted with a barrage of questions from teammates on his first professional baseball team.
Not about being a first-round draft pick. Not about growing up as the son of Hall of Famer Yogi Berra. But about high school football in New Jersey, not too far from his temporary new Single-A home in Niagara Falls.
"The guys I met were from Texas, Alabama, Florida, California, Georgia, all the great football states," Berra told NJ Advance Media.
