How Wisconsin's backup QB (who may start) is part of Rutgers history

Jack Coan may play against Rutgers on Saturday.

He's already tangentially part of its history.

The Sayville, New York, native is the Badgers' backup quarterback. He was pressed into duty last weekend after starter Alex Hornibrook suffered a concussion and made his first career start in Wisconsin's loss to Northwestern. Depending on Hornibrook's health, Coan could be back under center when the Scarlet Knights face the Badgers this weekend in Madison.

Coan is also the recruit Kyle Flood was watching when he was fired over the phone as Rutgers' head coach.
