How Rutgers QB Gio Rescigno is developing into more than just a 'wild horse'

PISCATAWAY -- Giovanni Rescigno likely can't re-win the Rutgers starting quarterback job until at least August, but the redshirt junior is doing all he can to make he doesn't lose it before then.

Though first-year offensive coordinator Jerry Kill offered a clean slate to all quarterbacks when he arrived, Rescigno is listed as the starter -- ahead of co-second-teamers Tylin Oden and Zach Allen -- on the official spring camp depth chart.

"I think Gio has really connected with Coach Kill," Rutgers coach Chris Ash said. "I think they've got a great relationship.
