Midway through Rutgers football training camp, Kemoko Turay set a lofty goal of 13 sacks this season. Through three games, the Scarlet Knights' hybrid defensive end/linebacker has yet to record a sack.
But Jay Niemann says there's a legit reason for that.
"People are (adjusting) their protections based on where they think the issues are with pass rush," Rutgers' defensive coordinator said. "So he is (drawing) a lot of attention.
"What happened in the Morgan State game was (the quarterback) started sprinting out (of the pocket) a lot. That's one way to get away from a guy who is a good pass-rusher.
