It was the day they’d been waiting for since falling in love with the Maroon 5 song Sugar earlier this year, with their favorite band playing on the beach in Atlantic City.
So Laura Thompson, who jokingly called dibs on Adam Levine should they find themselves face-to-face with the lead singer, loaded her daughters, Skye and Summer Cotler, along with two of Skye’s friends into her car in Barnegat and headed south on Aug. 16.
“It was like we were going to see the Beatles,” said Thompson, a single mother of four.
