In May 2017, 20 Rutgers football players earned their degrees. Earlier this month, 24 Rutgers football players were listed among the university’s 2017-18 graduates.
Those numbers helped Rutgers perform well in the latest NCAA report on Academic Progress Rate.
But despite showing drastic improvement in coach Chris Ash's first two seasons, the Rutgers football multi-year APR will likely be an issue if the Scarlet Knights finish 5-7 this fall.
According to the latest data released by the NCAA on Wednesday, the Rutgers football program registered a single-year APR score of 987 and a multi-year APR score of 973.
