For the just completed 2016-17 academic year, Rutgers had 205 athletes earn a spot on the Academic All-Big Ten list. While the total is less than 2015-16 (228), it is significantly higher than the inaugural campaign (196) inside the Big Ten.
To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, student-athletes must be letterwinners who are in at least their second academic year at their institution and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.
