John McNulty left Rutgers to become a wide receivers coach in the NFL, and he returns 10 years later after most recently coaching tight ends in the league. But the new offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach does bring significant experience with that position back as well.
Rutgers coach Chris Ash hired McNulty on Thursday, sources told NJ Advance Media, to wrap up an extensive search for the school's new offensive coordinator after Jerry Kill retired due to health reasons. The Scarlet Knights are hopeful McNulty, their ninth offensive coordinator in nine years, will end that maddening run.
