The Rutgers women’s lacrosse team has begun this season by winning two of its first three games and have seen a newcomer become a major contributor from the start. Freshman Marin Hartshorn from Allentown, New Jersey has made an immediate impact and has already become just the second player in program history to garner Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors multiple times in a season. She has earned the accolades the last two weeks.
The freshman has scored multiple goals in all three games so far, tallying 9 total, which is tied for the team lead with sophomore Taralyn Naslonski, who also won multiple Big Ten weekly rookie honors last season.
