PISCATAWAY -- Nick Suriano tried to downplay his first wrestling match for Rutgers, but the star sophomore 125-pounder said it was difficult to keep his emotions in check.
"It was a little different with the outside event, but to me it was just another match honestly,'' Suriano said after cruising to a 24-7 technical fall Saturday in the opening bout of Rutgers' season-opening 27-9 triumph over Maryland in a rare outdoor match in High Point Solutions Stadium.
"I've been prepping all summer for this. A lot of training, a lot of preparation.
