Mader Dei (Middletown, N.J.) was stacked in 2016 when it won the Non-public Group 2 title on a last second hook-and-ladder conversion by Eddie Lewis against Holy Spirit. But despite the talent, none of the biggest stars from the team ascended to the FBS level of play, mostly due to academic issues. Lewis was able to right the ship and get to Rutgers after only one semester at Milford Academy (New Berlin, N.Y.). But two of his former teammates Juwan Mitchell and Marvin Pierre -- both FBS-caliber players in their own right -- are still creating their own paths, trying to fing their way.
