A former Don Bosco Prep coach is joining the Rutgers football staff.
No, it's not Greg Toal. It's actually one of Toal's top former assistants during Don Bosco's rise to national prominence earlier this decade.
Drew Lascari, who spent the past three seasons as the head coach at Cardinal Mooney High School in Sarasota, Fla., is joining the Rutgers coaching staff as a quality-control coach, a person familiar with the hiring confirmed to NJ Advance Media.
The Sarasota Herald-Tribune first reported Lascari's move.
Lascari coached at Don Bosco for five seasons, arriving at the Bergen County powerhouse in 2010 and overseeing Don Bosco's physical, ground-and-pound offense from 2012-14.
