Ex-Rutgers Scarlet Knights football players arraigned in robberies, assault

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. -- Seven former Rutgers University football players have pleaded not guilty to charges related to home invasions and an assault.

The men entered pleas Wednesday. The Asbury Park Press reports that many of them have applied to pre-trial intervention programs.

Among those arraigned, Tejay Johnson is charged in connection with the assault and home invasion robberies.

Nadir Barnwell, Ruhann Peele, Delon Stephenson, and Daryl Stephenson are charged in the assault; Razohnn Gross and Lloyd Terry are charged in the home invasion robberies.

Aside from the criminal cases, Rutgers didn't have a stellar season on the field.
