Former Rutgers quarterback Chris Laviano's latest audible is the most unbelievable.
Laviano left San Diego State's football program Monday night in order to pursue opportunities as a college lacrosse player, according to a report from the San Diego Tribune.
Laviano started 19 straight games at Rutgers but opted to graduate transfer after losing his job during the second half of last season. He picked San Diego State in February and arrived in May under the premise that he could battle returning starter Christian Chapman.
But Laviano slipped to third on the season-opening depth chart behind sophomore Ryan Agnew after training camp finished and apparently decided there was a better use for his final year of eligibility.
