A former Rutgers football star and NFL linebacker who was indicted on a gun charge that was later dismissed cannot sue the prosecutor's office that pursued the case, a federal judge has ruled.
Khaseem Greene's NFL career came to a screeching halt in 2017 when a Union County grand jury indicted him on a charge that he handed a gun to a man who fired shots in an Elizabeth nightclub in 2016.
Union County prosecutors said they had surveillance video showing Greene handing the firearm to Jason Sanders and that Sanders had implicated Greene in the incident.
