Forty-one months after the infamous Mike Rice player-mistreatment controversy imploded the Rutgers athletics department, the legal fight that started it all is finally over.
Eric Murdock's wrongful termination lawsuit against Rutgers University has been settled, according to sources familiar with the situation.
Murdock was rewarded a $500,000 settlement, two people familiar with the resolution told NJ Advance Media. An attempt to obtain the settlement documents was not immediately successful.
