Isaiah Wright played as a sophomore at St. Joseph’s (Metuchen) before moving on to St. Peter’s Prep. A versatile offensive and defensive lineman, he committed to Rutgers way back in June then stayed through the coaching change. Wednesday it became official.
Rutgers needs offensive linemen who can play offensive tackle and even though he was originally recruited as a defensive tackle, Wright morphed into one of the better offensive tackles in the state over the past year and a half. He is listed as a strong-side defensive end though his ability to get low and drive people is a better fit at defensive tackle or down blocking on the offensive line.
