Isaih Pacheco said he didn't know if he'd become Rutgers' starting running back after the Scarlet Knights' ugly loss at Maryland, and he wasn't going to speculate.
"It's the coach's call, and I'm the player," he said following the 34-7 loss in College Park, Maryland, on Saturday. "I'm just going to keep working hard at practice, and if they call my number at game time, I'm ready to go in and make something happen."
The true freshman from Vineland did that in the second half against the Terrapins, and it may have signaled a shift in Rutgers' backfield.
