Twelve years of past history are on the line for Rutgers on Friday.
The No. 21 Scarlet Knights (6-7 overall, 2-6 Big Ten) will wrestle at No. 18 Wisconsin (7-3, 4-3) at 8 p.m. Eastern at the UW Field House in Madison, Wisconsin, and they need a win over the Badgers in order to prevent their first losing season in a dozen years (at least temporarily).
Rutgers wrestling has not posted a losing record since 2006 (under head coach Scott Goodale's predecessor John Sacchi) but they are in danger of doing so as they enter the final week of dual meet competition.
