Mulqueen started as a volunteer assistant, worked his way to part-time assistant and then to full-time assistant before he was elevated to head coach of cross country ... in 1982! He took over track and field in 1983. Mulqueen has coached 36 All-Americans -- including Corey Crawford in 2016 -- and a Big East championship track team in 2005, but the Big Ten is proving to be a big challenge.
