COLUMBUS, Ohio — Considering the scarlet-colored jerseys and the all-too-familiar defensive scheme, Urban Meyer couldn't be blamed if he had to do a double-take this past week when he started breaking down Rutgers' game-film.
"It's our defense,'' the Ohio State coach said.
Rutgers, of course, went out and plucked Meyer's defensive play-caller last December, tapping Chris Ash as its head coach. Ash has made no secret that he's implemented many of his former boss' teachings, but it's the familiarity of the defensive scheme that caused Meyer to raise an eyebrow during preparations for Saturday's Big Ten clash against the Scarlet Knights.
