Ohio State defensive coordinator Chris Ash is reportedly set to become the new head football coach at Rutgers as long as the hiring receives board approval Monday.
Sam Hellman of Scout reports a meeting is scheduled for 12 p.m. ET Monday where the situation will be discussed. A press conference is expected to follow for the official announcement.
Ash joined the Ohio State coaching staff last January. The Buckeyes' defense ranked 19th en route to a national championship last season. The unit has taken another step forward in the second season under the 41-year-old coach, rating 10th in total defense this year.
