PISCATAWAY – Even as he led his own team onto the practice field Thursday morning for the first time in his 20-year coaching career, a sense of normalcy returned to Chris Ash’s life.
In his first 15 weeks as Rutgers football coach, Ash had his hands in all pots, from recruiting high school players and boosters to redesigning the strength and conditioning program and the interior look of the Hale Center training facility.
“It’s been a blur,” Ash said. “I guess if I could sum it up, that’s what it would be. People ask me about New Jersey, how do I like New Jersey?
