PISCATAWAY – Carlton Agudosi hasn’t made a big contribution in two seasons at Rutgers, catching just 10 passes for 111 yards in 24 career games.
However, the 6-foot-6, 220-pound redshirt junior appears ready to finally turn a corner for head coach Kyle Flood and first-year offensive coordinator Ben McDaniels.
As training camp opened Monday, Agudosi and his coaches have reason to be very optimistic as he is coming off a monster spring. His four catches for 91 yards and two Chris Laviano touchdown passes were the highlight of the Scarlet-White Game. Before that, he had four catches for 87 yards in an April 11 scrimmage, then followed it with seven catches for 96 yards in the spring’s second scrimmage on April 18.
