Cappie Pondexter Named one of the WNBA 20 Most Influential

To Rutgers alumni and fans Cappie Pondexter is arguably the best women's basketball player to ever come out of Rutgers University, and possibly one of the most influence players in history. Well now it seems ESPN agrees, on Wednesday it was announced that Pondexter was named one of ESPN's WNBA Top 20@20 presented by Verizon. This list is to commemorate the 20th anniversary season of the WNBA. This list was presented on ESPN's Sportscenter Face to Face with Hannah Storm. Pondexter is included in the list comprised of 9 current athletes and 11 former players.

After being picked 2nd overall in the 2006 WNBA draft she played three seasons with the Phoenix Mercury and helped the team win a title in 2007 and 2009.
