Although most would say Rutgers quarterback Artur Sitkowski has improved throughout a tumultuous year, he hasn't yet earned the right to not have to compete. Wednesday, Rutgers added a game competitor to the quarterback room in Cooper Heisey, who accepted a preferred walk-on opportunity at the school. But he isn't typical walk-on as the 6-4, 215-pounder out of Wyoming Seminary Prep (Kingston, Pa.) has tools that project well to a pro-style offense at the FBS level of play.
Heisey has been in contact with Rutgers for a couple of years, culminating in his addition to Rutgers' 2019 class.
