Bergen Catholic (Oradell, N.J.) tight end Tyler Devera is officially a Scarlet Knight.
The 6-4, 225-pounder is the brother of Rutgers second-year linebacker Brendan Devera, who made an impact on the backs as a true freshman in 2017.
After transferring from Wayne (N.J.) Hills prior to last season, Tyler has flashed the the traits of a complete tight end in BC's multiple offensive scheme.
He's the Crusaders' starter and rotates in at defensive end, as well. He has good size, he's tough, can run, is athletic and has a good feel for coverage. He also uses his body well, can go up and get it and has strong hands to pull it in, while a good runner after the catch.
