He actually made his Rutgers pledge first, despite announcing it second.
Saturday, Rutgers earned its first of two commitments from St. Joseph (Montvale, N.J.) safety Connor Grieco, a 6-3, 190-pounder, who can also play inside the box and get ball-carriers on the ground.
A three-star recruit, Grieco had been battling between Rutgers and Army for the past few weeks. He even, at one point, told the Rutgers staff that he'd play for the service academy instead.
But now he's a Scarlet Knight.
"I committed today because there was simply no other school I wanted to attend," Grieco told NJ Advance Media Saturday afternoon.
