PISCATAWAY -- On the four days each week when Bo Melton's alarm goes off at 7 a.m., he's happy it's not Wednesday. He is jolted from sleep at 5 a.m. on Wednesdays.
The four-star recruit has just two catches in the first 10 games of his true freshman season at Rutgers. Those stats aren't in line with the out-sized expectations he carried out of Cedar Creek High School, but they are no cause for alarm from his coaches.
While Chris Ash revealed that Melton has been gutting through a back injury, offensive coordinator Jerry Kill and wide receiver coach Jafar Williams both said "He's a freshmen" when asked recently about a perceived slow adjustment.
