EAST LANSING, Mich. — Chris Ash is asking you to take a leap of faith now if you're a Rutgers fan. Because, if you're looking for some tangible sign that this football program is heading in the right direction, you going to have a hard time finding it.
You certainly didn't see it on Saturday at Spartan Stadium. Rutgers faced the other 0-6 team in the Big Ten games and was outplayed in every possible way, falling behind 35-0 at halftime.
Again: Michigan State was winless in conference play and riding a seven-game losing streak.
