Arella Guirantes named finalist for Ann Meyers Drysdale Shooting Guard Award

Rutgers senior Arella Guirantes was named one of five finalists for the Ann Meyers Drysdale Shooting Guard Award on Tuesday, which is given to the top shooting guard in women’s NCAA Division I college basketball. It was announced by Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association. The winner will be announced on April 9, 2021.

Guirantes ranks in the top five in points, assists, steals and blocks per game in the Big Ten this season. She is averaging 20.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, 5.4 assists, 2.2 steals and 2.0 blocks per game. Her versatility and consistency has made her one of the best players in Rutgers history.
