Only halfway through his highly anticipated Rutgers wrestling career, Anthony Ashnault already has conquered the Big Ten.
Ashnault captured the conference title in the 141-pound weight class Sunday by winning for the fourth time in as many matches at the Big Ten Championships in Iowa City, Iowa.
Entering the tournament as the No. 3 seed after winning 24 of 26 matches during the regular season, Ashnault earned gold with an overpowering 9-0 major decision over No. 8 Jimmy Gulibon of Penn State in their first career meeting.
