PISCATAWAY -- If learning how to become a running quarterback in the power spread offense has taught Chris Laviano anything, it's how to get up from a big hit.
Still, the sight of the Rutgers quarterback throwing a block -- or, more accurately, getting run over after inserting himself as an obstacle for a tackler -- to spring the tie-breaking touchdown run Saturday was nearly as jarring as it must have felt.
"I'm used to running and taking hits," Laviano said. "It's what I'm good at. Maybe my mindset next time will be to de-cleat somebody, but I didn't really care.
